Modify the Performance Service Level and Storage Efficiency Policy of the file share

Goal

This workflow modifies the performance service level and storage efficiency policy of the file share using NetApp Service Level Manager (NSLM).

Note: Only the performance service level and storage efficiency policy associated with the file share is modified. The file share remains in the same cluster.

Prerequisites

1.       You must have the minimum version of NSLM 1.2.0 RC and WFA 4.2 GA installed.

2.       You must have added the following NSLM user credentials in the Credentials window:

3.       You must have added a new data source of type, NetApp Service Level Manager - 1.2.0, with REST user name and password as data source user name and password in the Data Source window.

User Inputs

You can select the file share that is to be modified from an assigned performance service level to the targeted performance service level.

To execute this workflow, provide the required information in the User Inputs field:

·         File Share* [Mandatory]: From the list, select the file share to be modified.

Note: The drop-down menu also shows the Assigned Performance Service Level Name, Assigned Storage Efficiency Policy Name, SVM Name, and Cluster Name.

·         Target Performance Service Level: From the drop-down menu, select the target performance service level that is to be set for the file share.

·         Target Storage Efficiency Policy: From the drop-down menu, select a storage efficiency policy. NetApp Service Level Manager will use ONTAP defaults if "default" is selected.

Result

The workflow results in modifying the performance service level and storage efficiency policy of the file share.
