Applying QoS or AQoS Policy Group to existing ONTAP Volume

Goal

This workflow applies the QoS or Adaptive QoS (AQoS) Policy Groups to existing ONTAP Volumes and allows the user to switch between QoS or AQoS policy groups.

Prerequisites

1. You must be running WFA 4.1.

2. You must be running ONTAP 9.3 or later.

3. You must have added the credentials of all the storage systems to be used.

4. You must have created ONTAP volumes.

5. You must have created QoS and AQoS policy groups.

User Inputs

To execute this workflow, provide the required information in the following fields:

· Storage Details

· Policy Group Details

1. Storage Details

· Cluster* [Mandatory]: From the drop-down menu, select a cluster name.

· Storage Virtual Machine*[Mandatory]: From the drop-down menu, select a virtual machine name. The drop-down lists the names of the Storage Virtual Machines associated with selected ONTAP cluster.

· Volume Name*[Mandatory]: From the drop-down menu, select a volume name.

2. Policy Group Details

You can provide the details for applying the policy group to an existing ONTAP Volume.

· Type of Policy Group: From the drop-down menu, select the type of policy group.

· Policy Group Name: From the drop-down menu, select a policy group name.

Result

This workflow results in applying the QoS or AQoS Policy Groups to the exiting ONTAP Volumes.
