Adding Cassandra DB host details to a Data Center Group

Goal

To add Cassandra DB host details to the data center group.

Prerequisites

·         Running WFA 4.0 or later

·         Running ONTAP 9.1 or later

·         Credentials of all the storage systems added

·         Credentials of all the Cassandra DB hosts added

·         Cassandra DB core package installed on all hosts to be used as Cassandra DB nodes

·         Cassandra DB host configured with either Fiber Channel (FC) or iSCSI

User Inputs

1. In the User Inputs section:

·         From the Data Center Group Name drop down, select an existing data center group name or enter a new one.

·         From the Rack Name drop down, select a rack name or enter a new one.

2. In the Server Host Detail section:

·         From the Cluster Name drop down, select the cluster to be included in the data center group, or enter a new cluster name.

·         In the Host Name field, type the name of the Cassandra DB host.

·         In the Host IP Address field, enter the IP address of the Cassandra DB host.

·         From the Select Protocol drop down, select the Cassandra DB server protocol type.

o   If you select FC, the FC WWP Name field is enabled. Enter the Cassandra DB host FC Worldwide Port Name (WWPN).

o   If you select iSCSI, the iSCSI Initiator Name field is enabled. Enter the iSCSI initiator name of the Cassandra DB host.

3. Select the Execute Now radio button.

4. Click Execute.

Result

A new Data Center group is created adding the Cassandra DB host details to the cluster.
